I do not own this blender, but I am curious about something which I once saw: Does the blender force the mixture up to the top and out if the top is not attached, or does it draw the mixture down and allow use without the top attached? I just thought that not having to put the top on and off all the time was very convenient..

I am thinking of buying this product but cannot tell from the pictures whether or not it has a pouring lip. Can a kind owner respond in a review and let me know?

I love the simplicity of 2 speeds. I almost never even need the high speed.

On crushing ice, that the cubes my refridgerator trays produce are either the wrong shape or too big as I find that they jam up and I have to open and poke (after unplugging) them to get the mess to crush. Now ice in a smoothie is no problem as the fruit and juice provide enough lubricant so that the ice moves freely toward the whirling blades, past murals depicting pastoral scenes, opps, that’s from Monty Python. Anyway this blender makes a great bass-o-matic for those scientists looking for toxins in fish. (get the steel jar version so you can autoclave it.)

The rest of us will sit on the porch enjoying another smoothie/milkshake thanks to this blender.

I bought this 2 weeks ago. Used it about half a dozen times and the motor’s busted. It’s smelled since the first use. Other reviewers reported the same. I’m buying one of these instead
