I used a friend’s VitaMix 5200 for a few months, and I wasn’t certain how I would like this one as it only has high and low speeds rather than the added gradual speed button. However, it’s perfect for my needs. The only thing I need to remember is to hold the container tightly down when I turn it to high as it tends to “jump up.” A breeze to clean. Totally worth the money.

This bender is the one we all thought we were buying years ago when we bought the name brand market blenders. My family uses this Vita-mix at least 3x daily for smoothies and raw foods. To date I have never heard it bog down, no matter what we put in it. One gets the feeling that the vita-mix could grind and blend pool balls without ever breaking a sweat. We also enjoy the tamping rod that comes with the unit. Plunging it through the opening in the lid, it is just the right length, so you never have to worry that you might hit the blades. Way recommended!

I’ve had many mixers and juicers.. this by far is the easiest to blend with, and easiest to clean up. I highly recommend this to those that enjoy smoothies, juices & soups. Yes, it actually heats liquids to an enjoyable temperature when blending for more than 4 minutes.

I have worn out other brands but see this as a long term product. You can tell the quality. Simply built but sturdy and functional. I use this blender daily for my morning smoothie. Frozen berries, almonds, and ice are no problem. Great product.
